Acne
Acne is a fairly common skin condition characterized by blemishes and spots. It’s most common among teenagers and young adults, but it can affect people of any age. The spots and blemishes are commonly called “pimples.” Acne is mostly caused by overactive oil glands that produce too much sebum. The sebum mixes with skin cells and clogs the pores. Bacteria can grow in clogged pores, causing inflammation.
Rosacea
Rosacea is a condition of the skin that often affects the face. It may also affect the neck, chest, or other parts of the body. Often characterized by redness, pimples, and broken blood vessels, rosacea typically begins in middle age (between 30 and 60). Fair-skinned people and women in menopause are more likely to develop it.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is one of the more commonly known skin conditions. The condition can be classified into several types. The most common type is plaque psoriasis. It occurs when skin cells overgrow on your skin, causing a rash. Often there are red marks and flaky white patches that resemble scales on the inflammation. Symptoms may appear anywhere on your body. The most common locations are your knees, elbows, and scalp.
